The New England Carousel Museum

Dedicated to the preservation of the trolley era. Take a 3 mile narrated trolley ride, then visit the complex for a little history of the trolley, and view the exhibits. Admission covers access to the Fire & Motor-Coach Museum, and unlimited trolley rides

Dinosaur State Park

55,000 square feet of geodesic dome exhibit space, houses about 500 preserved dinosaur tracks--left behind by area dino inhabitants around 200 million yrs ago. Nature trails, display gardens and arboretum. The Track Casting area is open May 1 - Oct 31.

 

Copernican Observatory & Planetarium

Old Newgate Prison

In the early 1700's what began as a copper mine, turned into the first state prison in America. Used to house serious criminals, the prison closed in 1827, and then became a mine again.
